A Home Remodeling Project Requires Safety.
A colleague needed a guard rail for a 2nd story stair opening. He gave good critical dimensions and I came up with this, which used stock materials (no need for an exotic BOM for a budget project).
As you can see, it’s made of square steel tubing, plate, and square bar for pickets or balusters. This is a 2-piece welded assembly, which makes it easier (or possible) to get it up a staircase and install it.
